On June 3rd, members of the Indian Women’s Association (IWA) were honored to attend a heartwarming fundraiser event hosted at the Folklore Centre “Moscow” on Barklaya Street. The event, organized by the International Association of Organizations for Children’s Assistance, brought together children from four different orphanages — including the familiar faces from “Happiness to Give Happiness”, a home we visited last August.
The evening’s highlight was a vibrant musical performance featuring the children themselves. Their joy, energy, and talent lit up the stage, offering a touching reminder of the power of community and support. With around 300 attendees in the audience, the hall was filled with emotion, applause, and encouragement.
We were warmly welcomed by the event organizers and had the opportunity to engage in a meaningful conversation with the director of the “Happiness to Give Happiness” orphanage. It was moving to reconnect and see the ongoing impact of our support.
In the spirit of solidarity and giving, IWA contributed a donation of 50,000 rubles, which will go toward organizing summer holiday programs for the children. We are proud to support such initiatives that help bring joy and enrichment to young lives.
This memorable evening reminded us that while our contributions may seem small, they ripple outward — creating moments of happiness and hope.
