Updated: Aug 25

May was a month of heartfelt giving and meaningful connections as members of the Indian Women’s Association (IWA) Moscow came together for two special donation visits to animal shelters in the city. These visits were not only about contributing material support but also about offering our time, affection, and presence to animals in need.

Shelter Zoorassvet22nd May 2025

On a bright Thursday afternoon, IWA members visited Shelter Zoorassvet, located in Rassvetnaya Alley, Moscow. The shelter provides a loving temporary home to both cats and dogs. During our visit, we had the joy of interacting with the cats in their cozy house, and taking friendly dogs on walks through the nearby paths.

It was a beautiful, emotional experience as members spent time bonding with the animals, learning their stories, and appreciating the tireless efforts of the shelter staff. Our donations, filled with essentials for the shelter, were received with much gratitude.

Super Sobaka Shelter28th May 2025

The spirit of giving continued just days later, with a second visit to Super Sobaka Shelter, another remarkable rescue center in Moscow dedicated to the wellbeing of stray and abandoned dogs. The atmosphere was filled with energy as the dogs responded eagerly to our presence.

Members were able to engage with the dogs, observe the shelter’s daily routines, and understand the challenges they face. The visit was both touching and inspiring, as we witnessed the commitment of the shelter team and the resilience of the animals they care for.

These two visits not only allowed us to extend a helping hand but also reminded us of the power of empathy and the joy of giving back. IWA thanks all the members who contributed, participated, and supported these causes with such warmth and sincerity.
