RANG BARSE..a celebration of colour ,culture and connection

On 21st March 2025, the Indian Women’s Association (IWA), Moscow, gathered to celebrate the festival of Holi in a graceful and heartfelt way — through the beautiful tradition of Tilak Holi. Themed “Rang Barse”, the event brought together members for a morning filled with colour, culture, and community spirit.

A Gentle Burst of Colour

Instead of the usual splash of powdered hues, the celebration was centered around the serene custom of Tilak Holi — where members warmly greeted each other with a fragrant touch of gulal on the forehead. This gentle, respectful exchange of colour symbolized love, unity, and the start of new beginnings, all while keeping the venue vibrant and serene.

Colourful Elegance

The dress code encouraged members to show up in their brightest festive wear, and the result was a delightful explosion of colors — from elegant sarees to joyful salwar suits and fusion ensembles. The hall radiated with the energy and vibrance of spring, capturing the very essence of Holi.

Savouring the Flavours of Holi

No Indian celebration is complete without food! The highlight was a delicious spread of traditional Holi treats — from gujiya to snacks infused with Indian flavours and shared laughter made the moment truly memorable.

Here are some pics of the day
